Endurance athletes get their money's worth in the heart of the Ötztal. At a snow-assured 1,930m, Obergurgl-Hochgurgl offers ideal cross-country skiing conditions from December until well into spring. Beginners, ambitious hobby runners and training teams enjoy free cross-country skiing on the wide valley floor between Pill and Obergurgl. The start of the 7km-long Pill-Angern-Poschach high-altitude trail is only a few hundred metres from the hotel. In Obergurgl, as well as in Hochgurgl, there is a 2km-long practice trail each. The regions of Längenfeld, Umhausen, Niederthai and Vent also offer optimal opportunities to practice cross-country skiing in all facets and degrees of difficulty. Every athlete's heart beats faster at the thought of the wonderful cross-country ski trails in the sunny Ötztal.
